Truck & Trolley Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through our website and quote form, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. It's written to be plain-English, not legalese — if anything is unclear, email us and we'll explain it properly.

What we collect

When you use the quote form at /quote, we collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number.
• Your pickup and drop-off addresses (verified against Google's address database so we can confirm the location and estimate travel time between stops).
• A description of what's moving, and optionally photos of your items so we can size the job accurately. Photos have identifying location data (EXIF metadata) stripped before we store them.
• A short automated check (Cloudflare Turnstile) that confirms you're a real person, not a bot, submitting the form.

We don't collect anything beyond what's needed to give you an accurate estimate and get your move booked.

How we collect it

Everything above is collected directly from you, as you work through the multi-step form. We don't buy or acquire your details from anyone else.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Generate a moving estimate and show it to you.
• Pass your details to MoverMate, our booking partner, so a booking can be created once you choose to proceed.
• Keep records for a limited time so we can follow up on your enquiry and meet basic bookkeeping obligations. Draft form data you don't complete is kept for a short period and then removed; details tied to a completed booking are retained longer for accounting and customer-service purposes; any photos you upload are deleted once your move is finished or your enquiry goes cold.

Who we share it with

We share your information with the following services, each of which plays a specific role in getting your move done:

• Google — to verify addresses and calculate travel time between stops, and to provide the website analytics described below.
• MoverMate — our booking partner, who turns your estimate into an actual booking, takes the deposit, and coordinates the crew.
• Resend — our email provider, used to send you confirmations and updates about your enquiry.
• Vercel and Neon — the hosting and database providers that run this website and store your submission securely.
• Vercel Blob — secure storage for any photos you upload.
• Cloudflare — the bot-protection service that keeps the form free of spam submissions.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone outside this list for marketing purposes.

Cookies and website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site — which pages get visited, how far people get through the quote form, and where they drop off. We use it to make the site work better, not to build a profile of you.

To do that, Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser containing a randomly generated identifier. That identifier lets us tell a returning visitor from a new one. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any of the booking details you give us, and we do not use it for advertising — we run no advertising or remarketing tags on this site.

Along with that identifier, Google Analytics collects the usual technical information a website receives: the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), the type of device and browser you use, and the site or search that sent you here.

If you would rather not be measured, you can:

• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window; or
• Install Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Either option stops the analytics cookie without affecting your ability to get a quote or make a booking.

Overseas storage and disclosure

Some of the service providers listed above store or process data on servers located outside Australia, primarily in the United States. By using this site you consent to that overseas transfer for the limited purpose of running the quote and booking flow.

Accessing, correcting, or complaining
